William David Rominger

Mr. William David Rominger,83,of Kingsland died Saturday (Aug. 7,2010) at The Hospice of The Golden Isle's in Brunswick. Born in Altoona, Alabama he was the son of Ernest Clay and Emma Louise Lovelady Rominger. A member of The Kingsland First United Methodist Church, he had served in The U.S. Navy during World War II. An avid fisher and hunter he also enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with his family. Mr. Rominger had retired as a Track Foreman with Seaboard Railroad. Survived by 2-sons and a daughter-in-law, Danny and Betty Rominger, of Hamburg, Indiana and Donald Rominger, of Kingsland, GA., 4-daughters and sons-in-law, Fadma and J.R. Williams, of Woodbine, Davette and Brad Simpson, of Nahunta, Debbie & Roger Lane and Juanita and Doug Morton, all of Kingsland, GA., 11- grandchildren, 19- great-grandchildren, 1-great-great-grandchild, 2-brothers, John Lee Rominger, of Ethelville, Alabama and Richard Rominger, of Killeen, Texas, a sister, Ernestine "Tina" Pugh, of Killeen, Texas, also several Nieces, Nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening starting at 6 P.M. at the Frye Funeral Home in Nahunta. Graveside services will be held Wednesday morning (Aug. 11, 2010) at 10 A.M. in The Homeward Cemetery on Hwy 110 in Camden County with Rev. Chip Strickland officiating. Military Honors will be given. Pallbearers are, Paul Drury, Joe Simpson, Tinker Horne, John Simpson, Michael Lang and Josh Morton. Honorary Pallbearer will be Mason Simpson. Frye Funeral Home of Nahunta is in charge of arrangements. Sympathy may be expressed by signing the online registry at www.fryefh.com
