Waynesville- William David Rousey, 57 of Waynesville, passed away Saturday (October 30, 2021) at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Jacksonville, FL., following a brief illness.
Born in St. Mary’s, GA., his parents were Dorsey Ray Rousey and Viney Kiziah Head Ribron. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Elzie Ribron, and a nephew, Rocky Flowers, Jr.
William attended Palmetto Pentecostal Church and enjoyed fishing, yard sales, and loved going to auctions.
Survivors include his wife, Sheila King Rousey, of Waynesville; his brother and sister-in-law, Richard Rousey (Amanda), of Nahunta; his sister and brother-in-law, Elsie Cribb (Alton); his sister-in-law, Marianna Seitz; nieces and nephews, Jennifer Rentz (Richard), David Rousey, Cassandra Mason (Tyler), all of Nahunta, and Roxie Flowers, of Hortense. Also several other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon (November 5, 2021) at 2PM at Palmetto Pentecostal Church with Rev. Bill Johns officiating. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service, from 1PM-2PM, at the Church.
Burial will follow in Horse Stamp Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be David Rousey, Tyler Mason, Richard Rentz, Wallace Head, Lonnie Spradley, and Michael Rykard.
Due to COVID-19, we ask all to please follow the rules for social distancing, also face mask are highly recommended at the service. Anyone who does not feel comfortable with attending the service the family would like you to know they understand and covet your prayers.
