Hoboken- Mr. William "Bill" Moore, Sr., 77, of Hoboken died Friday afternoon ( Jun 10, 2011) in Savannah at The Memorial Health University Medical Center after a brief illness. Born in Brantley County his parents were Arthur and Ocie Viola Jacobs Moore. Mr. Bill was also preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Moore, the son of Robert Moore, one Brother, Delmus Moore and a Sister, Louise Jones. Mr. Bill had worked in the ship yards in his younger years and had severed in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a Police Officer in Florida, before he started his career in the Real Estate and Development Business, which he became very accomplished in and owned The William Moore Land, Co. in Nahunta. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them as much as possible. Also enjoyed Fishing and hunting in his earlier years and the latter when he could get away, he also enjoyed gardening. Survived by his loving wife of 50 plus years, Ida Jean Willis Moore, 2-Sons, William "Bill, Jr." A. Moore, Jr., and Robert D. Moore, all of Hoboken, a Daughter and Son-in-law, Dana Moore Hendrix and Brian, of Hickox, a Granddaughter, Blake Lindsey Hendrix, of Hickox, 2-Sisters and a Brother-in-law, Aline Moore Chesser, of Jacksonville, Fl., Betty Jo Moore Bonventre and Frank, of Jacksonville Beach, Fl., also several Nieces, Nephews and other relatives and a great host of Friends. Visitation for Mr. Bill will be held Monday evening starting at 6 P.M. from the Frye Funeral Home in Nahunta. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning (Jun 14, 2011) at 11 A.M. from The Hickox Baptist Church with Bishop Raymond Willis and Bishop Hugh Arnold officiating, also comments by Dana M. Hendrix and Bucky and Brenda Horne. Burial will follow in the family plot in the High Bluff Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dan Moody, Jeremy Crews, Skipper Harris, Kevin Middleton, Wesley Dryden, Clay Lee, Donnie Griner and H. B. Bates. Honorary Pallbearers will be Andy Riggins, Harry Riggins, Dan Smith, B. J. Smith, Johnny Crews and Gene Crews. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
