William Roberson

Richmond Hill-William Carlie Roberson, Sr., 55 of Richmond Hill, passed away Sunday evening (March 22, 2015) at his residence following an extended illness. Born in Jesup, GA., his parents were Matthew "Mathy" Dodge Roberson and Reba Jean Lewis Roberson. He was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, David Roberson and Johnny Roberson. William worked many years as a painter. He was of the Church of God Faith and enjoyed spending time with his family, music, and football. Survivors include his wife, Leonora Phillips, of Richmond Hill; a son William "C.J." Roberson, Jr., of Richmond Hill; 3 daughters, Heaven Phillips (Dustin Lindsey), of Midway, Reba Roberson, of Richmond Hill, and Beth Roberson, also of Richmond Hill; 5 grandchildren, Izzayh Phillips, Vampyria Barrow, Kaylinn Phillips, Madison Dashnaw, and Emma "Pie Pie" Roberson; a brother and sister-in-law, Joseph "Joe" Roberson (Susan), of Midway; a sister, Barbara Roberson, of Richmond Hill. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday morning (March 28, 2015) at 11AM at Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Dean officiating. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Rob Lewis Cemetery. Pallbearers will be William Roberson, Jr., Dustin Lindsey, Robert Mobley, Sr., Robert Mobley, Jr., Joseph Allen Roberson, Jr., and Dodge Roberson.
