William Waters

Hickox- William "Graham" Waters, 68, of Hickox died late Monday night (March 28, 2011) at Joseph M. Still Burn Center- Doctors Hospital of Augusta after injuries sustained in a fire accident. Born in Oak Park, GA his parents were William Grady & Myrtle Armstrong Waters. He is also preceded in death by his first wife, Gladys Marie Bridges Waters. Graham was a land manager for Brantley Telephone Company for 46years and a member of King Memorial Baptist Church. He also loved hunting, fishing, farming and cooking. Survivors include his wife, Ila Waters of Nahunta; 4 children and a son-in-law, Stevie Graham Waters, Tony Lee Waters and Dawn M. Waters all of Nahunta and Donna Waters & Tony Gibson of Waynesville; 2 step-children, Erin Wofford of Hortense and Thomas W. Willis(Fiance Cory) of Brunswick; 5 grandchildren, Sarah Waters, Elizabeth Waters, Kristy Waters, William Graham Gibson and Allyson Dawn Gibson; 4 step-grandchildren, Jason Wofford, Tyler Keith, Brittany Pitts and Thomas Willis; 7 great grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Ellen & Junior Swearington of Vidalia; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening (March 30, 2011) starting at 6PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A funeral service will be held Thursday afternoon ( March 31, 2011) at 3PM at King Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Price, Rev. Mike Yawn and Rev. Wayne Higginbothom officiating. Graham will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Raybon. Pallbearers will be Franklin Smith, Jimmy Dowling, Curtis Tumlin, Donavan Strickland, Wade O'Neal, Jr. and Mark Ashworth. Honorary pallbearers will be William Hinesley, Jackie Tumlin, Wade Strickland, BTC employees and Hayner & Diamond Lake Hunting Club. In lieu of flowers donation may be sent to Joseph M.
