Willie Joe Johns, Sr.

Nahunta- Willie Joe Johns, Sr., 66 of Nahunta died Wednesday morning (January 4, 2012) at his residence after a brief illness. Born in Hickox, GA, his parents are Lucille Wainright and the late Elvin Ruail Johns. He is preceded in death by his wife, Diana Mae Blount Johns, and a son, Willie Joe Johns Jr. Willie worked as a foreman for CSX for many years. He loved fixing lawn mowers, VCR's, and T.V's. He loved fishing, hunting, and animals; he also loved to hang out at the Huddle House. Survivors include his mother Lucille Wainright Johns, of Nahunta; 3 children, Chad Elliott Johns of Douglas, Crystal Lynelle Johns, and Jonah Quentin Johns, both of Nahunta; 2 brothers, Clifford Johns of Nahunta, and Elvin Lavelle Johns of Folkston; a sister, Charlotte Mizell Lee of Hoboken. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be held Friday evening (January 6, 2012) starting at 6PM at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A Graveside service will be held Saturday afternoon (January 7, 2012) at 2PM at Bethlehem Cemetery, Hickox, with Rev. Charles Florey and Rev. Jerry Johns officiating. Pallbearers will be Wyatt Blount, Jack Blount, Buddy Johns, Wesley Lee, James Lee, Tony Lee, Carlos Blount, and Harry Blount. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Huddle House staff.
