Waynesville- Mr. Wilson Harry Howard, 62, of Waynesville died suddenly Thursday morning (March 3, 2011) at his residence. Born in McIntosh, GA his parents were Charles Lawson & Rudell O'Berry Howard. Wilson was a heavy equipment operator for Poppell & Eller Construction and a member of Little Memorial Baptist Church. He loved his family, children and grandkids. Also he enjoyed piddling, picking the guitar, painting and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Rita Renee Ammons Howard of Waynesville; 4 children and their spouses, Shelly Ammons of Nahunta, Scott & D.J. Ammons of Raybon, Jessica & Robbie O'Berry of Hickox and Preston Chanclor & Kim Williams of Waynesville; 9 grandchildren, Anthony Ammons, Aaliyah & Aalyssa Roundtree, Emmalee & Natalee Ammons, Donovan Beckham, Mathie O'Berry and Katee & Khloe Chanclor; 3 brothers and a sister-in-law, Jimmy & Jane Howard of Townsend, Rusty Howard of Brunswick and Leroy Howard of Townsend; 2 sisters and a brother-in-law, Patricia Howard of Auburn, GA and Janet & Freddie Thomas of Broxton, GA; and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Visitation will be held Saturday evening (March 5, 2011) starting at 6PM at his residence 94 Pete Ave. Waynesville, GA 31566. A funeral service will be held Sunday evening (March 6, 2011) at 3PM at Little Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Ammons-Warner Cemetery, Atkinson. Pallbearers will be Preston Chanclor, Anthony Ammons, Leighton Ammons, Joseph Gordon, Keith Oglesby and Gene Wilson. Arrangement are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
