Hortense-Mr. Zenious "Beno" Harkleroad, Jr., 76, of the Fort McIntosh Community died Friday afternoon at his residence after an extended illness. Born in Broxton, Georgia he was the son of Zenious Harkleroad, Sr., and Stella Jarrad Harkleroad. He was also preceded in death by his brother Roy Harkleroad. Mr. Harkleroad was a member of The Lulaton Baptist Church and had served his Country in the U.S. Navy. He attended the University of Georgia to become a Pharmacist and was also the first preceptor from the university to be certified to train others at his Pharmacy , Beno's Pharmacy, in Douglas, Georgia. He enjoyed fishing and being with family. Survived by his loving wife, Ollie Dupree Harkleroad, of Ft. McIntosh Community, 3-sons and a daughter-in-law Larry Harkleroad, of Newman, GA., Jamie and Beth Rawlins of Jacksonville, FL., and Zenious "Trey" Harkleroad ,III, of Hortense, 3- daughters and their spouse, Kim and Billy Ray Harper, Candy and Randy Spivey, all of Douglas, GA., and Shelby and Lester Wilson, of Jesup, GA. 1- brother and his wife, Fred and Betty Harkleroad, of Statesboro, GA., 1- sister, Pat Milhollin, of Cleveland, GA. Also several Nieces, Nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be Sunday (Jan. 23, 2011) from 6-9 P.M. at The Frye Funeral Home in Nahunta. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 11 A.M. from The Lulaton Baptist Church in Lulaton with Rev. Monroe Gill officiating. Burial will be Monday at 3:00 P.M. in The Broxton City Cemetery, in Broxton with military honors. Pallbearers will be John Milhollin, Steve Milhollin, Keith Harkleroad, Allen Harkleroad, William Lowery, Mark Milhollin,Chris Turner and Allen Harkleroad.
